Sketches
This page displays a selection of sketches that I have used to plan the sequence of layers and possible materials to create surface texture in some of my work. I find using drawing in this way very exciting and extremely beneficial. Although the finished paintings appear to have an intuitive appearance, the planning stage with sketches and photographs is very important to me.
